I’ve been trying to take this shot for a week for MacroDay’s “round” challenge. This is a bearing for a skateboard; it was probably on the first skateboard I owned, coming up on 20 years ago. (I obviously cleaned it a bit… and removed the outer protective casing on this side.)

The shot I really wanted is much closer than this, but I just don’t have the right lenses. This is actually through a #2 macro adapter on the 50mm lens and a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass is pretty low quality and is responsible for the dark ring around the shot. I obviously need yet another lens…
