No, there’s no exif information for this one. This is one of the promised shots from when Tobi was here last month. For those of you that don’t remember, Tobi was shooting with my digital rebel while I was first borrowing a friend’s Rebel G2 and then shooting with my (self-)repaired 1967 Petri Racer P&S. I also used this as an opportunity to shoot with different kinds of film.
This shot came from the G2, no doubt. It was shot with Fuji Reala, which accounts for the interesting color cast. There’s a little dust on the negative; I’ve got a cheap film scanner (a PrimeFilm 1800 AFL) and it doesn’t do a great job, but it’s good enough for now.
The subject is from a construction site at work. It’s part of a scaffold that was being erected at the time (which is now around half of a building — it’s going up very quickly). Immediately after taking the picture, some construction worker grunted “can’t take pictures of this,” which I promptly ignored.
The colors are very cool and the shallow depth of field really highlights the sharp focus on the subject. Nice shot.
Nice composition. That little bit of out-of-focus fense in the foreground helps to frame your subject.
Tasty shot, I love the out of focus foreground.
