Looking At Me Looking At You
I’ve recently become fascinated with looking through trains, not only to see what’s going on inside, but also on the other side of the train. This one just lined itself up for me. Too bad about the reflection, but I’ll take what I can get. If anyone has a good method to get rid of that reflection, I’d love to hear it. Nothing I did looked good enough afterwards.
And a color-corrected version (before adding the sepia layer) is here for comparison. My wife tells me the sepia version is clearly better, so that’s the one that got posted.
Truly beautiful shot. The man in the front sleeping contrasted with the man in the back of the train looking out the window is fantastic. I don’t mind the reflection so much. In fact, it even adds to the layers of the photograph, hinting at a layer before that which we can see. And I have to agree with your wife that the sepia version is much better. Fantastic photograph!
~I/eye like how there are 3 layers to this shot, the man in the foreground, catching a snooze w/ his head resting and then the person in the middle gorund looking out the window and the subject deep in the bg, an ‘innocent bystander’ who’s interaction in the frame I/eye find MOSt appealing and interesting…I wish it were mine~
My wife is usually right when it comes to visual interpretation.
It was the two windows and three layers that drew me to take the picture, too!
