Okay, I’ll get off this series soon. I just like so many of the shots that I’m compelled to post ’em!

Holy crow! When did you shoot this?! I didn’t even know there was a way to get up there!
Excellent lighting and tonal balance.
I think this was right after you were posing for Kathleen in the round room, and it’s the reason why I disappeared between then and the courtyard. This shot was taken with my telephoto lens through a fence. Right after this I started playing with fire, taking pictures on self-timer, camera on monopod, using the monopod as a 6′ stick to get pictures around the fence.
Bloody hell! What is this!?! A former prison sort of thing?! Groovy! GROOVY! Excellent shadow/light composition!! (I would not want to spend a night there…)
You just reached around with the monopod! Insanity! I’d definitely be too scared to do that. Interesting to see your super tele zoom compared to my 18mm shot [ttp://www.dragonballyee.com/archives/photos/2005/06Jun/0163/0163.html] of the same corridor.
Wow…how stable was the flooring up there?
The shots I took of the interior of the cell (while using the monopod in a way other than it was intended) didn’t really come out as well as I hoped, but you can see what I suspect is part of the aural art project that we were hearing clanking around.
The floor that we were standing on to take this shot was fine (steel, fairly modern). I wouldn’t want to take a step out onto that balcony, though. That pigeon has guts.
