Table and Chairs
I’ve wanted to take this shot for a while. I tried, unsuccessfully, to take it by hand a couple of weeks ago; today I had my tripod along with and got pretty much what I wanted. I hadn’t counted on the barrel distortion being as bad as it was at 35mm (and 2 feet from the subject). I obviously need more practice removing barrel distortion, as it’s still evident in the upper-right corner of the photo.
Regardless… do you see the table and chairs?
I love glass blocks and this is one of the reasons: they give a lot back in terms of depth and contrasts.
I like this.
Beautiful image. I have tried to take some shots of glass blocks before but it did’t work. You’ve done very well!! The color and pattern we see through the each block is fifferent from each other, that’s makes this shot more interesting.
Dawn: me too!
Marin: I’m very happy with the different patterns. The only two things I would have had come out differently are the barrel distortion and the color of the back wall. If I could have remote-flashed it, I think the picture would have come out better. Of course, I’d have to own a remote flash first…
Very nice shot!
Simple but beautiful
Noteworthy! I like it.
