We went to a friends’ party last Saturday, and I must admit I expected we’d be the only ones there with a child. I was pleasantly surprised. This young lass (whose name escapes me at the moment, although I remember her brother Luke’s name) was dying to be on camera. Everywhere I pointed it, there she was.
I’ve just noticed that the thumbnail for this picture looks awful. I’ll have to see if I can improve it; the thumbnails are being dynamically created. And speaking of software updates: I’ve added a new ‘categories’ feature (in the menu at the top) and will be slowly filling in pictures in various categories over the coming months.
Jorj,
Glad you and Sue made it. You were spared the Paul Anka Rock Swings CD. Despite the protests I played a few selections after a few more beers.
Her name is Kaitlynn. Her parents are Keith and Lisa. You should have seen her later in the party. She had a crush on Jim, Bob’s brother. She asked someone to introduce her and offered him fruit which he gladly accepted. As Keith and Lisa were prepared to get under way she told Jim that he could “Come home with us” without consulting her parents.

Someone’s not allowed to date until she’s 30 if she’s going to invite strange men home! And anyone at that party was strange by definition.

I heard Kaitlyn say that she liked Jim because, “He’s very tall! He’s taller than my Daddy” and she also said, “I’m so glad he accepted the fruit!” That must be some sort of a binding social contract in the mind of a 4 year old.
Glad you guys could make it to the party! You were lucky to miss Paul Anka’s painful rendition of “Eye of the Tiger”, it’s just so wrong. I must caution you that John’s also got a Shatner CD that he likes to torture the guests with from time to time.

Hey guys! We had a good time. Thanks for inviting us. John, we’ve got to get you out with your camera — maybe for one of the Philly area photobloggers meetings?
