that’s one awesome postcard image. the bell atlantic building, right? it looks really flat from the other side, right? the focus on the flag leaving the building out of focus gives it an almost mirage like effect. i took a few shots of it awhiles ago here: http://dragonballyee.com/archives/photos/2005/Jan/0038/0038.html
Is that the one that known as ‘The Verizon Tower’ today? I did not actually think you would go for such a patriotic shot. But I like it. It’s a nice one.
Yep, that’s the building. As Alberts shots show, it’s pretty boring from the street (which I think is a huge failing of this building — skyscrapers which aren’t visually appealing while up close bug me). The flag is one of those on top of 30th St. Station. I’ve accentuated the softness of the tower (by exaggerating the curves), which I think gives it more of a 50s ad feeling.
