Solo Duo
The companion shot to one I posted a couple of days ago. I really like both of them and couldn’t decide which to post, so I’ve decided to post the second one today.
And yes, I missed yesterday. We had a friend over for dinner and by the time the evening wound down, we were too exhausted to think about photography…
Great shot, almost looks like he is laughing along with himself.
Thanks, Rob. Question for you (or anyone): do you prefer this one, or the one from three days ago (with the same subject)?
In answer to your question, I prefer this one. I liked all of your nameless-faceless urban commuter series though.
What I like about this one is that it shows how in urban settings, most people seem to have no identity. I feel no more attached to the real guy here than I do to his reflection, and that is what makes this shot interesting to me.
I also like how miserable light source in this case adds to the shot. Something about this makes me think of that famous Hopper painting of the diner.
Thanks for the feedback, Jarrett. An excellent analysis.
