BTW, did you shoot this one in B/W right away or did you post process it?
That was done in postprocessing (“desaturated via red channel”). I separated the shot into red, green and blue channels; the red channel data is what you’re seeing here. A scaled-down version of the original:
I didn’t like the sign for 76 in the original, and wasn’t really happy with the hue of the overhang/building on the right. I really wanted the fog in the distance, and the red channel seemed to give me the best of that.
