Signs of Youth
When my father-in-law passed away years ago, my wife inherited a lot of his old camera gear. He was an amateur photographer in his day and took some great pictures. (okay, I confess that I only know of one, and it does involve my wife, but still.) The Petri Racer that I repaired was one of his cameras.
Also in the kit was a good stash of 55mm filters, a 52-55mm adapter, some Series 7 filters, and a 55mm holder for them. One of the filters is a polarizing filter. Given its age, I guessed that it was linear. (It does seem to screw up the auto-focus on my camera quite well.) This shot is one of the few that I snapped today using that polarizing filter.
What interests me about this shot is that there was only one track down the hill. How can it be possible that the rider rode the entire length of the hill, not walking at all, but then left without riding it again?
Wow! Cool shot. I’ve always been a sucker for a good polarizing filter. I had one for my SLR, but I haven’t thought about one for my digital yet. This may move me along in that direction. Powerful shot. Thanks!
That is a cool shot! Very sharp!
