Heart
Found this little guy with what looks like a heart on his chest in Suburban Station. He asked me to take his picture. You’ll notice that I *still* forgot to change the $!@$!#$ ISO setting on the camera. Which I have now changed. I think it’s about time to put a big “CHECK THE ISO” sticker on the back of it.
I do that all the time – I get so excited about a shot that I completely forget to change the settings to what I want. If you get one of those stickers, mail one to me as well 🙂
Btw, did you try shooting this with a wider aperture setting as well? I think it would set off the shape nicely to have an even lower DOF.
Cute little guy, and it looks like he’s just stepped out of his shoes. Even with the ISO setting that you had the camera on……it still turned out great.
Abhi: that lens won’t do better than f/5.6 at 46mm; I was going for the lowest DOF I could manage. This guy was pretty small, so I couldn’t get closer to it and keep the focus. I’ll have to go back with a different lens and give it another go.
