Trees
It’s beautifully foggy out tonight, but unfortunately I only had my telephoto lens with me, and we had dinner plans with friends. So here’s one from the archives — taken on the same trip as the Dove. I wish I had more ground in this shot, but I’m fairly happy with the overall color and contrast.
I agree that a little more ground would have be nice, but mainly because I’m loving the stripes of the shadows and the converging lines they form as the eye is pulled into the ‘forest’ and up the towering trees and deep blue sky. Lovely. 🙂
Charlie: that’s exactly what I thought! Those shadows look like they’re from the trees in the frame, but they’re actually from the trees behind me.
A litte more light in the foreground would make this shot more interesting – but the composition is good and the feel of he height of the trees. Well done.
