I’m in DC for a couple of days, and obviously brought the 5D along with. I’ve experienced the dreaded “5D banding” problem that I had been reading about (noise in noticeable horizontal lines across the picture). I’m trying to figure out if it’s something I’m doing differently than on my previous 5D copy (which went back for a sensor defect), or if this one is also bad. The jury’s still out. Either way I’m not happy.

This shot, however, didn’t suffer at all from banding. It only suffered from ym overexposing the moon. The shot is just inside the Lincoln Memorial.
