Watching You
I couldn’t help thinking about my last visit to DC while walking around the reflecting pool. On our last visit we actually ascended the Washington Monument — and saw the video cameras permanently mounted there, watching the city.

I like the composition a lot, though the exposure is imperfect (but admittedly very difficult). The red light at the top of the monument that shows only in the reflection adds a little mystery.

Mark, I’ve actually got several other shots that I wanted to combine to get the proper exposure — but decided I was happy enough with it as-is to just get it online. I’m hoping to revisit this one later when I have more time to spend on it.
There are motives that will ALWAYS fascinate photographers. This is one of them. I like it!
