Please welcome into this world Jakob Emanuel Talbutt-Bauer. He was born at 12:22 AM, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. and measuring 21 inches. Mother and son are resting comfortably. Dad is a little frazzled and has a bunch of photos to process. 😉
I don’t know why, but for some reason I expected him to come out with a beard.
… and long hair in a ponytail.
What a tall fellow! No wonder he was kicking mommy’s ribs from the inside. Iris says hello and to tell Jakob that it gets better and better every day.
Funny, he doesn’t look like a groundhog. Did he see his shadow? Congratulations!

Hearty congratulations to you all and welcome Jakob to the big wide world. I must say that your name is superb and will take you far in life. As Mr. Trump once said, Leonardo DiCaprio wouldn’t be the star that he is if his name was Bob Smith (although Will Smith hasn’t done too bad..but I digress.

Wow, what a great bunch of comments. Thanks everyone for everything. We’re doing well, we have a bazillion more pictures, and we’ll get them posted somewhere as soon as we’re back home with a real uplink (we’re using my cell phone from the hospital, which is really slow).
