Grand Canyon Perseverance No.6
The colors caught my attention in this shot. The more cool blues in the background against the warmer reds in the foreground gave me the depth I wanted, and the hint of the clouds overhead gives a hint of something going on. I like the curl of the clouds upper/left, and considered cloning/mirroring them on the right to try and provide more framing for the ridge center/left of the shot. Ultimately I decided that the curve of the ridge below it was enough, and the clouds were leading upper/right just as the foreground and middle-ground ridges were, leading you up and out of the shot; is the storm brewing up there, too? I want to see more. I haven’t decided whether that’s a good thing or not yet.
