Grand Canyon Perseverance No.9
There are a few interesting pieces to this shot. As a whole, I don’t like it as much as the past few days’ shots – but I think the clouds, in particular the way they draw you down to where they touch the ridge, center/left, is pretty compelling. I wish I had a vantage point here that included the Colorado River, which would give me something to meander down the cliff to. Instead I farry along the striations, examining each of the three different parts of the land visible (foreground, lower/right; canyon, lower/left through center; and far background, center/right). The weather is the only compelling part of this shot for me, though. What do you think?
